Work has resumed on the VALENTINE Main Street project. Work will require the closure of a block of 4th Street. The road closure will begin at the intersection of HWY 83 (Main Street) & 4th Street working west along US-83/West 4th Street 400 feet toward Cherry Street. Main Street will remain open, but HWY 83 traffic will travel Cherry Street. DP Sawyer has set Temporary Traffic Control for the Cherry Street Detour and expect a traffic shift to be placed to shift north/south traffic at the intersection of 4th & Main. The traffic control light is back operating at Highway 20 and Cherry Street. Concrete pavement removals will begin right away at 4th and Main Street area, with utility work to follow.
