Incidents/Arrests:
On 02/05/2023 at 3:22 pm, an officer received a complaint of child abuse/neglect.Officers are working in conjunction with Nebraska Child and Family Services.
On 02/06/2023 at 7:04 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of north Green Street. A juvenile male was cited for careless driving.
On 02/06/2023 at 8:14 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of east highway 20 for a trespasser. A 33 year old Oklahoma man was arrested for criminal trespassing.
On 02/06/2023 at 9:24 pm, officers responded to the 200 block of east 5th Street for a disturbance. A 31 year old woman and 31 year old man, both from Valentine, were arrested for domestic violence and child abuse/neglect.
On 02/07/2023 at 9:41 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of east highway 20. K9 Baker was deployed. A 22 year old man from Tennessee was cited for possession of marijuana less than one ounce and drug paraphernalia.
Reported Offenses/Calls:
On 02/06/2023 at 7:22 am, a complaint of a dog running at large in the 400 block of north Green Street was reported. The owner was located.
On 02/06/2023 at 1:35 pm, a complaint of a dog running at large in the 100 block of east 7th Street was reported. The owner was not located.
On 02/07/2023 at 9:00 am, a report of fraudulent use of a financial transaction devise occurring in the 600 block of west highway 20 was filed.
On 02/08/2022 at 1:16 pm, a complaint of a dog running at large in the 200 block of north Western Street was reported. The owner was not located.
On 09/2023 at 8:03 am, an officer was requested in the 300 block of north Valentine Street in regards to a suspicious vehicle.
On 02/09/2023 at 11:25 am, an officer responded to the 1000 block of east highway 20 for a 2 vehicle accident with no injuries.
On 02/09/2023 at 11:54 am, a theft was reported in the 1000 block of east highway 20. The case is pending suspect identification.
On 02/10/2023 at 8:48 am, multiple calls regarding a roofing scam were filed.
On 02/10/2023 at 10:34 am, an officer responded to the 100 block of west highway 20 for a shoplifter. Case is pending suspect identification.
On 02/10/2023 at 5:24 pm, an officer responded to a 2 vehicle accident with no injuries in the 600 block of east highway 20.
