The Sparks Nebraska Spurs Chapter of the Cowboy Fast Draw Association hosted the Heart City Jackpot shoot on February 4th and 5th at the Cherry County Fairgrounds in Valentine. Over 30 shooters competed in the event. Competitors came from Redfield, Mitchell and Sioux Falls areas of South Dakota and From Valentine, Ainsworth, Hyannis and Crawford Nebraska. Members of the Sparks Spurs did well during the two day shoot. Nancy Storms placed 1st in the ladies division on both days. Kim Burge place 6th both days. Keeleigh Burge took second place both Saturday and Sunday in the youth category. Dean Storms placed first on Saturday, Rich Mercure placed 5th both days. Greg Lanka place 4th on Sunday and Mike Burge was 4th place on Saturday and 2nd place on Sunday. The Sparks Spurs look forward to hosting the Nebraska State Championship and Great Plains Territorial Championship September 15 through the 17th in Valentine.
