Incidents/Arrests:
On 01/23/2023 at 3:58 pm, a complaint of “sexting” was filed with our office. The investigation is ongoing.
On 01/23/2023 at 10:08 pm, an officer responded to the 200 block of north Hall Street for a report of criminal mischief. A 25 year old Valentine woman has been identified as the suspect.
On 01/24/2023 at 4:10 pm, an officer assisted with a child custody issue occurring in the 200 block of north Hall Street.
On 01/24/2023 at 6:42 pm, on officer responded to the area of 5th and Macomb Streets for a disturbance. A 60 year old South Dakota man was arrested for criminal trespassing.
On 01/25/2023 at 9:26 am, a report of a sexual assault was filed with our office. The investigation is ongoing.
On 01/25/2023 at 9:55 am, an officer responded to the 800 block of Craig Street for a report of an injured man. The man appeared to be a victim of an assault but was unwilling to aid in the investigation.
On 01/25/2023 at 12:55 pm, a child abuse investigation was requested. The allegations of abuse were investigated and were unfounded.
On 01/25/2023 at 12:55 pm, a request to investigate threats of violence via social media was made. The suspect was identified and the investigation is closed.
On 01/27/2023 at 8:30 am, an officer responded to the 200 block of south Helen Street in regards to an aggressive dog at large. A 28 year old Valentine man was cited for dog running at large.
On 01/28/2023 at 10:07 pm, an officer was requested in the 100 block of east highway 20 for a theft report. A 19 year old South Dakota man was cited for shoplifting.
On 01/28/2023 at 11:56 pm, officers responded to the 400 block of east highway 20 for a business alarm. An 18 year old, 19 year old and 23 year old men, all from South Dakota, were arrested for criminal mischief and burglary.
Reported Offenses/Calls:
On 01/23/2023 at 1:57 am, an officer responded to the 200 block of west 4th street for a domestic disturbance. A male subject was removed.
On 01/23/2023 at 7:49 am, an officer received an accident with no injury report at 8th and Cherry Streets. A report will be filed with the State of Nebraska.
On 01/23/2023 at 11:32 am, a complaint of theft of services was reported from the 500 block of north Macomb Street. The suspect has been identified.
On 01/25/2023 at 12:48 am, a noise complaint was filed in the 100 block of north Thatcher Street.
On 01/26/2023 at 3:40 pm, an attempted burglary was reported in the 1000 block of east 9th street. The case is pending suspect identification.
On 01/26/2023 at 8:56 pm, an officer was requested for a civil standby in the 400 block of north Macomb Street.
On 01/27/2023 at 9:06 am, a report of electronic hacking was filed with the department. Assistance was sought by the Nebraska State Patrol.
On 01/27/2023 at 5:37 pm, an officer fielded a complaint of harassing and threatening phone calls.
On 01/27/2023 at 11:51 pm, a non-injury accident was reported in the 100 block of south Main Street.
On 01/28/2023 at 11:18 pm, an officer responded to the 400 block of north Macomb Street for a disturbance. A male subject was removed.
