Incidents/Arrests:
On 01/18/2023 at 3:28 pm, an officer received a criminal mischief report from the 100 block of south Main Street. A juvenile male suspect has been identified. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.
On 01/20/2023 at 12:44 am, an officer responded to the 500 block of west 3rd Street for an assault. A 50 year old South Dakota man was identified as the suspect. The man fled prior to law enforcement arrival. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.
On 01/20/2023 at 7:52 am, an officer was requested to investigate a juvenile truancy issue in the 300 block of north Victoria Street. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.

On 01/16/2023 at 2:50 am, an officer responded to the 300 block of west highway 20 for a disturbance. 1 male subject was removed.
On 01/16/2023 at 8:43 am, an officer fielded a report involving a juvenile making terroristic threats.
On 01/16/2023 at 4:06 pm, a report of a sexual assault was filed with the department. The investigation is ongoing.
On 01/16/2023 at 7:52 pm, a disturbance was reported in the 600 block of west highway 20. No action was needed.
On 01/17/2023 at 1:00 pm, a complaint was filed regarding animal neglect taking place in the 600 block of north Macomb Street.
On 01/17/2023 at 1:47 pm, a hit and run accident was reported in the 300 block of north Wood Street.
On 01/18/2023 at 7:00 am, a second hand report of an assault in progress was reported in Little’s Trailer Court. The incident scene was not located.
On 01/18/2023 at 3:43 pm, a disturbance was reported in the 600 block of west highway 20. 2 females and 1 male were removed from the premise.
On 01/18/2023 at 5:38 pm, a disturbance was reported in the 100 block of north Main Street. A male subject was removed from the premise.
On 01/18/2023 at 6:10 pm, a disturbance was reported in the 100 block of west highway 20. 2 females were removed from the premise.
On 01/19/2023 at 12:44 pm, an officer was contacted regarding methods to avoid becoming a victim of social media scams. Resources were provided.
On 01/19/2023 at 1:25 pm, an officer received a report of a hit and run accident that occurred in 100 block of east 3rd Street. The suspect driver has been identified.
On 01/19/2023 at 2:24 pm, an officer took a theft call in the 500 block of west 3rd Street. A juvenile suspect was identified and the item stolen was recovered.
On 01/19/2023 at 6:48 pm, an officer responded to the 500 block of west 3rd Street to remove a disruptive guest. 1 male subject removed from the premise.
On 01/20/2023 at 12:54 pm, a suspicious person was reported to be walking in the Lake Shore Drive area. No contact was made.
On 01/20/2023 at 3:55 pm, a welfare check was requested in the 200 block of west 2nd Street. The subject was ok.
On 01/20/2023 at 6:31 pm, an officer responded to a business alarm in the 100 block of east highway 20. The alarm was an accidental activation.
On 01/21/2023 at 2:10 pm, a report of animal neglect taking place in the 500 block of north Hall Street was filed.
Officers responded to 109 calls for service this week.
