This weekend, Valentine residents are asked to help the Valentine Volunteer Fire Department by making sure fire hydrants are clear of snow. Fire Chief Terry Engels stated that he has been watching corners for hydrant conditions, and that while most hydrants are clear, there were a few that were barely visible, hidden under snow drifts and piles. It should go without sasying that it is essential that firemen are able to access these hydrants in the even of a fire emergency. The Valentine Volunteer Fire Department thanks listeners for being good citizens following multiple heavy snow events.
