Incidents/Arrests:
On 12/05/2022 at 6:12 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of west 4th Street. A 30 year old Valentine woman was cited for driving while revoked.
On 12/06/2022 at 3:39 pm, an officer responded to the 600 block of west highway 20 for an assault. A 50 year old man from Mitchell, NE and a 31 year old female from Ashby, NE were arrested for assault and warrants from Scotts Bluff County.
On 12/07/2022 at 11:47 am, an officer responded to the 100 block of east highway 20 for a theft. A 33 year old Valentine man was arrested for shoplifting.
On 12/07/2022 at 8:08 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 2nd and Lodi Streets. A 50 year old Valentine woman was cited for possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
On 12/10/2022 at 2:19 am, an officer received a report that an assault had occurred in the 100 block of north Main Street. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.
Reported Offenses/Calls:
On 12/04/2022 at 10:21 am, an officer was requested in the 200 block of east 5th Street for a fight. No law enforcement action was needed.
On 12/05/2022 at 8:50 am, a disturbance was reported in the 500 block of west 3rd Street. Officers found that all had calmed down prior to their arrival. No action taken.
12/06/2022 at 6:50 am, an accident with no injuries was reported in the 400 block of north Cherry Street. All information will be forwarded to the State of Nebraska.
On 12/06/2022 at 9:58 pm, a disturbance was reported in the 100 block of west highway 20. The male subject was removed from the property and was issued a criminal trespass warning.
On 12/07/2022 at 5:01 pm, an automobile was reported to be stolen from the 300 block of north Hall Street. The vehicle was later located.
On 12/09/2022 at 10:47 am, an officer was requested to respond to the 200 block of north Hall Street in regards to a complaint about snow removal.
On 12/09/2022 at 11:44 am, an accident with no injuries was reported in the 100 block of east highway 20. All information will be forwarded to the State of Nebraska.
On 12/09/2022 at 3:46 pm, a hit and run accident was reported in the 100 block of west highway 20. The suspect has been identified.
On 12/10/2022 at 2:19 am, a fight was reported in the 100 block of north Main Street. All parties involved were gone upon arrival.
On 12/10/2022 at 1:59 pm, officers received a complaint about a habitually at large dog issue. The owner was contacted.
Officers responded to 81 calls for service this week.
