Incidents/Arrests:
On 10/23/2022 at 3:48 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of north Main Street for an assault. A 56 year old Valentine man was arrested for domestic assault.
On 10/23/2022 at 9:36 pm, an officer fielded a report of a domestic assault. All information was forwarded to the appropriate jurisdiction in South Dakota.
On 10/24/2022 at 10:45 am, an officer responded to the 300 block of south Airport Road for a report of a hit and run accident causing property damage. A 54 year old man from California was cited for leaving the scene of an accident.
On 10/25/2022 at 8:00 am, a report of a theft occurring in the 400 block of west A Street was called in. A 44 year old Valentine man was cited for theft and trespassing.
On 10/26/2022 at 2:57 am, a report of a sexual assault was filed. The investigation is ongoing.
On 10/27/2022 at 4:25 pm, an officer received a report of an assault. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
Reported Offenses:
On 10/23/2022 at 4:30 am, an officer took a report of unlawful intrusion via an electronic device. Investigation is ongoing.
On 10/23/2022 at 4:11 pm, an officer responded to an accident with no injuries at 3rd and Ray Streets.
On 10/23/2022 at 5:10 pm, a report of a non-injury accident had taken place in the 700 block of east highway 20.
On 10/26/2022 at 2:04 am, an officer was requested to remove a 33 year old Valentine man from the property.
On 10/26/2022 at 1:03 pm, a complaint of an aggressive dog running at large in the 400 block of north Macomb Street was called in. The owner was contacted.
On 10/27/2022 at 2:30 pm, an officer was requested in the 1000 block of east highway 20 to remove a 25 year old South Dakota female from the property.
On 10/27/2022 at 3:56 pm, an officer was requested in the 700 block of east highway 20 to remove an unwanted person. They were gone upon arrival.
On 10/27/2022 at 8:04 pm, a welfare check was requested in the 300 block of north Victoria Street. All was found to be ok.
On 10/28/2022 at 4:28 am, an officer was requested to respond to the 500 block of north Government Street for a disturbance. Issue was resolved with no law enforcement action needed.
