Several Valentine businesses joined together last week to say thank you to the crews working on Valentine Main Street project. The group served over 60 burgers to over 50 workers who have kept the project ahead of schedule since they broke ground this past spring. It looks like maybe 3 more weeks before crews reach a stopping point for new construction and open the street back up for through traffic. During that period, citizens should see the new streetlights and traffic lights completed from 1st street to 4th Street. It is hoped to have some of the sidewalks south of the Cowboy Trail completed yet this fall.
A big thank you to all those who have worked on the project and the citizens of Valentine for patronizing the downtown businesses during this time.
Businesses who assisted in this burger feed included: Security First Bank, Flowerland/Rock Creek Ranch, Bachelor Ranch, Hendersons IGA, Viearo Wireless, The Valentine Chamber of Commerce and KVSH Radio. Thanks also to Sue McEvoy who made cakes for the event and Jason, Jason and Birk associates.
