The Sandhills Area Foundation held their annual fall event on Saturday evening at the Cherry County Fairgrounds in Valentine. A great crowd enjoyed a beef brisket meal served by Niobrara Valley Vineyards. The unofficial amount of funds raised that evening came in at an estimated $27,000 which will help with college scholarships and community grants. There were several items on both the silent and live auctions with Greg Arnedt serving as auctioneer. Four teams bid and won the chance to play the Sandhills Family Feud Game. The winning bidders were Whitney Barnes team, Sandhills Family Dental, TK Angus and ‘Back Again’, sponsored by Riemers Well drilling. The Sandhills Family dental team won the championship traveling trophy and bragging rights as Sandhills Family Feud Champions for 2022.

Executive Director Kimberly Johnson will be our guest on the KVSH Comment Program at 10:30 this Wednesday to give official final details of the fund raising event.
