Incidents/Arrests:
On 10/03/2022 at 2:52 pm, an officer was requested in the 700 block of north Dowden Street in regards to property damage. 2 juvenile males were cited for theft and criminal mischief.
On 10/03/2022 at 3:33 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop at 3rd and Government Streets. A 32 year old Valentine woman was cited for a school bus violation.
On 10/04/2022 at 2:33 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 8th and Main Street. A 27 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of drugs and drug possession charges.
On 10/05/2022 at 7:04 pm, officers were requested at the intersection of Hall Street and highway 20 for a non-injury accident. A 23 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
On 10/06/2022 at 6:34 am, officers were requested to respond to the 200 block of north Wood Street for a disturbance. A juvenile was removed from the building.
On 10/07/2022 an officer, at the request of the Valentine Community Schools and Cherry County Attorney, made contact with a parent in the 400 block of west 2nd Street regarding compulsory education-attendance required. All information was forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 10/07/2022 at 7:07 pm, an officer took a burglary report from the 300 block of west 2nd Street. The investigation is ongoing.
On 10/08/2022 at 3:23 am, a vehicle was stolen from the 100 block of north Main Street. The investigation is ongoing.
Reported Offenses:
On 10/04/2022 at 6:49 pm, a bike theft was reported from the 400 block of north Wood Street. Suspects have been identified.
On 10/04/2022 at 8:36 pm, a caller in the 600 block of west highway 20 reported an incident involving terroristic threats. The incident was requested to be documented.
On 10/05/2022 at 12:15 pm, an officer was requested to assist the Nebraska Probation Office. A 51 year old Kilgore man was arrested on an active Lincoln County warrant.
On 10/07/2022 at 4:52 am, an officer responded to the 200 block of south Helen Street for a report of someone breaking out windows in a home. The suspect was not located.
On 10/08/2022 at 1:52 am, an officer was requested to respond to the 100 block of north Main Street for a fight. All parties involved refused to cooperate with the investigation. No action taken.
On 10/08/2022 at 11:19 am, a runaway juvenile was reported. The juvenile later returned home safely.
On 10/08/2022 at 10:22 pm, a disturbance was reported in the 200 block of south Main Street. The incident was requested to be documented only.
