About 50 people attended the official groundbreaking for new expansion at Niobrara Valley Vineyards South of Nenzel on Monday.
Several dignitaries spoke about the positive effects the expansion will have on the North Central Nebraska Community. A 385,000-dollar CDBG grant will help with the expansion by funding a walking path, campsites and rest areas. The entire project will be about three quarters of a million dollars with new tasting room and event center. they plan to hire 2 full time equivalent employees.
