Reported Offenses:
On 06/20/2022 at 10:00 am, an officer responded to B and Helen Street for a report of a non-injury accident. All information has been forwarded to the State of Nebraska.
On 06/20/2022 at 1:45 pm, an officer responded to 3rd and Hall Street for a report of a non-injury accident. All information has been forwarded to the State of Nebraska.
On 06/21/2022 at 3:25 pm, an officer was requested to check on an intoxicated woman who had fallen into the construction zone on Main Street. The woman was found to be fine.
On 06/21/2022 at 4:45 pm, an officer responded to the 400 block of north Cherry Street in regards to an intruder. A male subject was removed from the home.
On 06/22/2022 at 4:00 am, an officer responded to the 500 block of north Government Street for a report of a domestic assault. Both parties refused to cooperate with officers. No action taken.
On 06/23/2022 at 2:00 am, an officer was called to the 400 block of north Cherry Street for a disturbance. A male subject was asked to leave.
On 06/23/2022 at 1:52 pm, a report of the Grandparent Scam was called in. Caller said they had not provided any personal information.
On 06/23/2022 at 11:55 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of north Main Street for a report of a stalking. The caller wanted us to be aware that they had been communicating with a subject via social media and they were worried about a possible stalking issue.
On 06/24/2022 at 3:58 pm, officers responded to the 200 block of north Wood Street for a report of a theft. The suspect was identified. Investigation is ongoing.
On 06/25/2022 at 12:55 am, an officer was requested to respond to the 100 block of east Highway 20 for an assault. The officer was unable to locate the caller. No action taken.
On 06/25/2022 at 8:33 am, a business alarm was activated in the 100 block of north Hall Street. The officer found that the alarm was an accidental activation.
Incidents/Arrests:
On 06/21/2022 at 7:59 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of south Main Street for a report of a kidnapping. The officer found the call to be an assault rather than a kidnapping. A juvenile female was arrested for assault.
On 06/23/2022 at 12:00 pm, an officer was requested at 100 east Highway 20 for a female refusing to leave the property. A 43 year old Valentine woman was arrested on an active Cherry County warrant.
On 06/26/2022 at 5:11 pm, officers responded to 3rd and Main Street regarding an accident. A 23 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of drugs, and multiple traffic and license violations.
Officers responded to 108 calls for service this week.
