The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:

Reported Offenses:

On 06/05/2022 at 10:35 am, an officer responded to the 400 block of east highway 20 for a report of a vehicle in the ditch.  The unoccupied vehicle was found to have rolled into the ditch.  No property damage occurred.

On 06/05/2022 at 9:20 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of north Main Street for a report of property damage.  The property owner decided to handle the issue with their insurance company.

On 06/06/2022 at 12:46 pm, a delayed complaint of a man with a gun call was filed.  The caller was seeking guidance on how to handle such encounters in the future.

On 06/09/2022 at 8:31 am, the department received a report of a runaway juvenile.  The juvenile later returned home on their own.

On 06/09/2022 at 12:50 pm, officers responded to the 400 block of north Cherry Street for a domestic disturbance.  The male subject voluntarily left the home.  No action taken.

On 06/09/2022 at 7:22 pm, officers responded to the 500 block of north Macomb Street in regards to an intruder.  The subject left prior to officer arrival.  No action taken.

On 06/09/2022 at 10:28, officers responded to the 600 block of east highway 20 for a trespasser.  The issue was resolved prior to officer arrival.

Incidents/Arrests

On 06/05/2022 at 1:50 am, an officer witnessed a traffic accident in the 100 block of west 1st Street.  A 40 year old Valentine man was arrested for driving during revocation.

On 06/06/2022 at 12:05 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of north Thatcher Street for a report of property damage.  A juvenile male was cited for this incident.

On 06/07/2022 at 10:39 am, an officer responded to the 200 block of north Wood Street regarding drug possession.  A juvenile male was cited for this incident.

On 06/08/2022 at 1:36 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of north Wood Street.  A 26 year old South Dakota man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of drugs.
