KVSH Radio contacted local Project Manger Darell Lurz with the Nebraska Department of Transportation about the Valentine Main Street project. Mr. Lurz told KVSH they hope to have 3rd Street open mid to late this week for East and West bound Traffic. They want to complete some adjacent work on the sidewalks before it reopens.
Mr. Lurz also reported that the Northbound lane of Main Street will be paved 21 feet wide and open for construction traffic probably next week. There will be no public traffic, parking or sidewalk done yet. It takes over 5 days for new concrete to dry sufficiently for heavy traffic.
