Reported Offenses:

On 05/24/2022 at 12:50 am, an officer responded to the 200 block of west A Street for a male laying in the middle of the road. Subject was removed from the roadway.

On 05/24/2022 at 1:25 pm, a complaint was filed with the Department regarding a potentially illegal TikTok post. Suspect was contacted and requested to cease posting such material.

On 05/24/2022 at 1:50 pm, a complaint of Candice Street residents speeding down Candice Street was reported.

On 05/2022 at 9:25 pm, an officer responded to the 1000 block of east highway 20 to take a theft report. An unknown male subject, driving what appeared to be a construction vehicle, took fishing gear from the bed of a pickup. Case is pending suspect identification.

On 05/25/2022 at 9:40 pm, an officers responded to the 200 block of north Macomb Street for a report of a man with a weapon. The subject was not located.

On 05/26/2022 at 2:32 pm, an employee of a business reported that the business was receiving scam calls that could potentially compromise their security system.

On 05/27/2022 at 1:26 am, an officer responded to the 100 block of east highway 20 to take a report of a theft. The victim reported that their phone had been stolen in Winner, SD and had been tracked to Valentine. Due to the delayed report, the phone was not located.

On 05/28/2022 at 12:10 am, officers responded to the 200 block of east 2nd Street for a report that a group of people were disturbing and knocking over construction equipment. No one was located.

Incidents/ Arrests:

On 05/25/2022 at 9:35 am, an officer received a theft report. A porch pirate removed a package from a home in the 100 block of south Cherry Street. Case is pending suspect identification.

On 05/26/2022 at 3:05 pm, an officer arrested a 24 year old Valentine woman on an active Cherry County warrant while she was conducting business at the Courthouse.

On 05/29/2022 at 11:25 pm, an officer received a report of a stolen vehicle. 2 juveniles were cited for this violation.

Officers responded to 120 calls for service this week.
