Cherry County Emergency Management Director Matt Sandoz informed KVSH Radio that the Civil Air Patrol will be flying over the Niobrara River Valley, east of Valentine, this afternoon, Tuesday, May 17, 2022, as a precaution for wildfires due to recent lightning in the area. This should take place around 1 or 2 pm CT.
