Reported Offenses:
On 04/17/2022 at 3:46 am, an officer responded to the 200 block of east highway 20 for an assault. The victim refused to cooperate with the investigation. No action was taken.
On 04/18/2022 at 5:00 pm, a complaint was received regarding concerns that they were being accused of letting their dogs run at large. No action taken.
On 04/20/2022 at 2:05 am, an officer responded to the 100 block of north Main Street regarding a disturbance. A male subject was removed from the premise.
On 04/20/2022 at 1:24 pm, a caller reported that a male subject had been bitten by their own dog. Medical attention had been sought by the caller. No action taken.
On 04/22/2022 at 6:08 pm, a report of a package containing illegal narcotics being delivered to the wrong address was called in. A request for assistance from the Postal Inspector has been made.
On 04/23/2022 at 1:03 am, officers responded to the 100 block of north Main Street for numerous people fighting in the street. The crowd was dispersed. No action taken.
Incidents/Arrests
On 04/18/2022 at 5:00 pm, at the request of the Cherry County Attorney, a 42 year old Valentine woman was cited for a Compulsory Education-Attendance Required violation.
On 04/21/2022 at 3:40 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 2nd and Haley Streets. A 72 year old Valentine woman was cited for having an expired vehicle registration. The registration had been expired for 2 years.
On 04/21/2022 at 4:35 pm, an officer was requested to investigate a report of subjects possessing visual depictions of sexually explicit conduct. The incident is under investigation.
On 04/22/2022 at 12:45 am, an officer responded to the 100 block of north Lodi Street for a report of a theft. A suspect has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
On 04/23/2022 at 1:03 am, officers responded to the 100 block of north Main Street for a disturbance. A 28 year old South Dakota man was arrested for criminal trespassing, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.
