VPD Week in Review April 10 – 16, 2022

Reported Offenses:

On 04/14/2022 at 4:45 pm, an officer fielded a report of a theft of a catalytic converter from property in the 200 block of west highway 20.

On 04/15/2022 at 12:29 pm, an officer responded to a non-injury accident at 3rd and Cherry Streets. Investigative reports were forwarded to the State of Nebraska.

On 04/15/2022 at 7:26 pm, officers responded to the 100 block of east highway 20 for a disturbance. A female subject was removed from the property.

On 04/16/2022 at 1:01 am, officers responded to the 100 block of north Main Street for a disturbance. A male subject was removed from the property.

Incidents/Arrests

On 04/10/22 at 12:49 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop at the junction of highway 97 and 20. A 41 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, driving while revoked and drug offenses.

On 04/11/2022 at 12:57 pm, officers assisted Probation Officers with a search of a home in the 900 block of west B street. A 58 year old Valentine man was arrested on drug charges.

On 04/13/2022 at 1:30 am, officers responded to the 400 block of north Cherry Street in regards to an assault. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.

On 04/13/2022 at 1:10 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of west highway 20. A 29 year old man from Iowa was cited for a stop sign violation.

On 04/14/2022 at 8:10 am, an officer cited a 39 year old Valentine woman for a Compulsory Education-Attendance Violation.

On 04/15/2022 at 9:50 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 4th and Edna Streets. A 20 year old Valentine woman was arrested for Driving Under Suspension.

On 04/15/2022 at 11:14 pm, officers responded to the 200 block of north Victoria Street in regards to an assault. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
