KVSH Radio hosted a Cherry County Commissioners Candidate Forum Tuesday evening at the Niobrara Lodge in Valentine. Over 40 citizens attended the event with several submitting questions. KVSH would like to thank all the candidates, Nina Nelson, James Ward, Shane Daniels, Tanya Storer and Mike McConaughey for participating.
Topics included quite a bit of discussion on private property rights, conservation easements, county roads and property taxes. There was also a question about the possibility of changing form 3 county commissioners to 5 commissioners.
The 1 hour and 45 minute broadcast was civil and included time for each candidate to introduce themselves and give a 2 minute wrap up at the conclusion of the forum.
