Working is progressing this week on a new sidewalk in the Southeast part of Valentine which will connect the Niobrara Lodge area, running past Mid Plains College, following Highway 20 past the former Shopko building and ending about Brewers Bowling Center. The sidewalk, initiated by the City of Valentine will connect the Southeast part of the community closer to the main business district. The project is hoped to be completed this spring in time for use during the summer tourism season.
