Reported Offenses:
On 03/20/2022 at 5:53 pm, officers were requested to respond to the 200 block of north Cherry Street for a report of individuals trespassing. Subjects were not located.
On 03/21/2022 at 8:50 pm, officers were called to the 100 block of north Main Street for a disturbance. A male subject was removed.
On 03/23/2022 at 12:05 pm, an officer took a report of the theft of a catalytic converter. No suspects identified.
On 03/23/2022 at 11:00 pm, officers were asked to increase patrols due to concerns of someone coming to damage their property. No contact was made.
On 03/25/2022 at 3:10 pm, an officer was requested to the 600 block of north Government Street regarding someone trying to gain entry into their home. No one was located.
On 03/26/2022 at 11:33 pm, an officer was requested to the 400 block of north Cherry Street for a report of a man looking in their windows. No one was located.
Citations/Arrests:
On 03/20/2022 at 6:10 pm, at the request of the Valentine Community Schools and Cherry County Attorney, an officer investigated the report of excessive truancy. All information was forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 03/22/2022 at 2:45 pm, an officer was called to the 100 block of north Main Street in regards to a possible drunk driver. A 72 year old South Dakota female was arrested on suspicion of operating her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
On 03/22/22 at 4:23 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Elenora Drive. A 27 year old man from Crookston was cited for driving while revoked.
On 03/24/2022 at 11:15 pm an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of east highway 20. A 44 year old South Dakota female was cited for drug offenses.
On 03/25/2022 at 10:12 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of east highway 20. A 28 year old male from South Dakota and a 40 year old female from Colorado were cited for drug offenses.
On 03/26/2022 at 12:57 am, an officer made contact with a female in the 100 block of east highway 20. A 35 year old female from Valentine was arrested on an active Cherry County warrant.
On 03/26/2022 at 11:25 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop at 4th and Wood Streets. A 24 year old Valentine woman was cited for drug offenses.
Officers responded to 103 calls for service this week.
