The Valentine Police Department has received 2 stolen vehicle reports in the past 3 days. In both instances, keys were left in the vehicle. Sunday, March 13, 2022, a pickup was stolen from the 100 block of west highway 20. This vehicle was recovered by the Cherry County Sheriff’s Office later that same day. Today, March 15, 2022, a sport utility vehicle, Nebraska 66D781, was stolen from a residence in the 200 block of north Hall Street. We’d like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to remove your keys and lock your vehicles. If you see this stolen vehicle, you are encouraged to call your local law enforcement authorities.
