The long awaited Main Street Construction project is underway, with closures on Main Street from approximately 2nd Street to 4th Street. Barriers have been placed and work is underway, and a detour to Cherry Street is in effect. Main Street businesses will maintain sidewalk access and pedestrian detours will be posted. Side roads and alleys will be busier than usual, so caution is advised. The first phase of this construction project has an anticipated completion date of mid-July.
