The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
March 6 – 12, 2022
On 03/06/2022 at 7:47 pm, an officer responded to the 500 block of north Green Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle. A 26 year old female from South Dakota was arrested on an active Cherry County warrant.
On 03/08/2022 at 2:30 pm, an officer was requested to meet with a subject who had arrived at the Cherry County Justice Center for an inmate visitation session. A 23 year old South Dakota man was arrested on an active federal parole violation warrant.
On 03/09/2022 at 9:58 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of highways 97 and 20. A juvenile male from Valentine was arrested for suspicion of operating their vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
On 03/11/2022 at 12:27 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of north Cherry Street. A 23 year old female was cited for possession of marijuana less than one ounce and drug paraphernalia. A 25 year old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and criminal impersonation. Both were from South Dakota.
On 03/11/2022 at 2:30 am, officers responded to the 500 block of west 3rd Street for a disturbance. A 30 year old Valentine man was arrested for obstruction.
On 03/12/2022 at 7:37 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of west 4th Street. A 22 year old man from Valentine was cited for no driver’s license.
On 03/12/2022 a 8:33 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of west 3rd Street. A 54 year old woman and a juvenile male, both from South Dakota, were cited for possession of marijuana less than one ounce and drug paraphernalia.
