The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
February 27 – March 5, 2022
On 02/27/2022 at 3:03 am, officers responded to Little’s Trailer Court in regards to an assault. A warrant has been requested for the male suspect.
On 02/27/2022 at 9:45 pm, an officer responded to Casey’s General Store in regards to a theft. A 27 year old South Dakota male was arrested for shoplifting.
On 02/28/2022 at 10:55 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of north Cherry Street. A 40 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating their vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
On 03/02/2022 at 7:45 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 3rd and Hall Streets. A 70 year old Valentine man was cited for a stop sign violation.
On 03/02/2022 at 3:35 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 5th and Green Streets. A 23 year old Valentine woman was cited for no proof of insurance.
On 03/02/2022 at 6:55 pm, officers responded to 100 N. Thatcher Street for an assault. A 31 year old Valentine man was arrested for domestic assault.
On 03/02/2022 at 10:05 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of west highway 20. A 20 year old South Dakota man was cited for no driver’s license.
On 03/02/2022 at 11:45 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop at 1st and Cherry Streets. A 20 year old South Dakota man was cited for speeding.
On 03/03/2022 at 12:32 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop at Vivian and A Streets. A 16 year old female and 19 year old male from South Dakota were cited for drug offenses.
On 03/03/2022 at 8:06 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop at 4th and Wood Streets. A 36 year old male was cited for possession of marijuana and a 34 year old female was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
On 03/03/2022 at 10:31 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop at 4th and Cherry Streets. A 19 year old South Dakota woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. A 68 year old man from South Dakota was cited for possession of marijuana.
On 03/05/2022 at 3:15 pm, an officer contacted a family regarding habitual truancy. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
