The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
February 6 – 12, 2022
On 02/07/2022 at 5:31 pm, an officer was requested to respond to the 500 block of west B Street for aggressive dogs running at large. A 34 year old Valentine woman was cited for dogs running at large.
On 02/10/2022 at 12:41 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of south Main Street. A 20 year old South Dakota female was arrested on suspicion of operating her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
On 02/10/2022 at 11:15 am, officers were called to the 200 block of west Highway 20 for a suspicious person. A 30 year old South Dakota man was arrested on an active Cherry County warrant.
On 02/10/2022 at 5:18 pm, an officer conducted an investigation into habitual truancy. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.
On 02/11/2022 at 11:10 am, an officer responded to the 200 block of east B Street in regards to an assault. A 48 year old Valentine man was arrested for domestic assault.
On 02/11/2022 at 2:54 pm, an officer responded to the 300 block of east highway 20 in regards to an assault. The 22 year old man from South Dakota fled the scene. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney. A warrant will be requested for the suspect.
