Robert Kilmer of Valentine was inducted into the Nebraska Aviation Hall of Fame on January 27, 2022 in Kearney.
In the world of aviation, Bob really has done it all: mechanic, pilot, flight instructor, Air Force veteran, and air
ambulance. Bob has operated Sandhill Aero Service and has been a fixture at Miller Field for decades.
Bob has been instrumental in helping guide improvements at Miller Field and provides a friendly welcome when planes arrive.
Nebraska’s Aviation Hall of Fame was started in 1991, with the intent of preserving the memory of Nebraskans who have
made outstanding contributions to aviation. Congratulations to Bob Kilmer.
