The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
January 16 – 22, 2022
On 1/16/2022 at 11:51 pm, an officer responded to the 200 block of south Hall Street in regards to issues with 2 juveniles. Following the investigation, 2 juveniles were cited for theft.
On 1/17/2022 at 3:54 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of north Hall Street for a shoplifter. A 50 year old South Dakota man was arrested for felony shoplifting.
On 1/17/2022 at 11:49 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 1st and Cherry Streets. A 24 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
On 1/19/2022 at 1:28 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 5th and Hall Streets. A 54 year old South Dakota woman was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
On 1/19/2022 at 1:50 pm, an officer was requested to address a habitual truancy issue. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 1/19/2022 at 8:57 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 3rd and Main Streets. A 37 year old South Dakota woman was cited for no insurance and an expired in-transit tag.
On 1/19/2022 at 9:58 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of north Edna Street. A 28 year old Valentine man was arrested on an active Cherry County warrant.
On 1/21/2022 at 1:06 AM, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Main Street. A 26 year old South Dakota female was arrested on an active Cherry County warrant.
