On 1/03/2022 at 1:29 am a Mission woman was stopped for a traffic violation. After the officer spoke with the woman, she was issued a citation for no operator’s license and no child restraint.
On 1/03/2022 at 9:12 pm a 25 year-old Valentine man was stopped on the 400 block of Victoria St. The man was issued a citation for no insurance and driving while under suspension.
On 1/04/2022 at 12:42 am an officer conducted a traffic stop on a 45 year-old Valentine woman. The woman was suspected to have been drinking and voluntarily submitted a breathalyzer analysis. The woman was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving under suspension, and defective vehicle lighting.
On 1/04/2022 at 7:22 pm an officer observed a vehicle going over the posted speed limit. The officer stopped the vehicle on the 400 block of Wood Street. A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle. Officers located several items of drug paraphernalia including; 18 oz. of marijuana, several other marijuana dispensary products, and a handgun with 7 rounds of ammo. A 23 year-old South Dakota woman and a 27 year-old South Dakota woman were arrested. Charges submitted against the woman are possession of a firearm with 2 drug violations, possession of marijuana over 1 pound, concealed weapon, use of a firearm to commit a felony, possession of a controlled substance, distribution of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
On 1/05/2022 officers were informed of an incident where obscene literature was dispersed to an individual. After several days of investigation a 35 year-old Valentine man admitted to the incident.
On 1/06/2022 at 9:02 pm an officer conducted a routine traffic stop on Hwy 20. A 27 year old Valentine woman was cited for no vehicle registration, no proof of insurance, and open container.
On 1/06/2022 at 11:37 pm on officer observed a vehicle going over the posted speed limit. The officer stopped the vehicle on the 200 block of Main Street. A 20 year-old Kansas female was arrested for driving under the influence, minor in possession, and speeding.
All information from these 7 reports has been sent to the county attorney for further review.
