1/3/2022 NCDHD COVID-19 Updates

Public Service Announcement

North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) has been made aware of 159 new COVID-19 cases in the district since last reporting period on 12/27/2021.

COVID-19 ISOLATION PERIOD FOR POSITIVE INDIVIDUALS AND QUARANTINE PERIOD FOR EXPOSED INDIVIDUALS HAVE BEEN UPDATED.

If you test Positive for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status:

  • Stay home for at least 5 days
  • If you have no symptoms or your symptoms are resolving after 5 days, you can leave your house.
  • Must continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.
  • If you have a fever, continue to stay home until your fever resolves.

If you were exposed to someone with COVID-19, ARE FULLY VACCINATED and have received your COVID-10 booster dose if eligible:

  • Wear a mask around other for 10 days.
  • Test on day 5, if possible.
  • If you develop symptoms stay home and consider getting a test.

If you were exposed to someone with COVID-19 and are NOT fully vaccinated:

  • Stay home for 5 days. After that continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.
  • If you can’t quarantine you must wear a mask for 10 days.
  • Test on day 5 if possible.
  • If you develop symptoms stay home and consider getting tested.

Need a COVID-19 test? Cherry County Hospital is offering FREE rapid COVID-19 testing. This service will be regularly offered Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2p-3p. To register, a patient should call Cherry County Hospital 402-376-2525 or Cherry County Clinic 402-376-3770 and press pound to be connected to the registration voicemail. Cut off for registration is 12pm the day of testing. 

NCDHD has the following vaccination clinic times available for walk-ins during the noted times below. If you already have a scheduled appointment time for a clinic on this list, please arrive at that scheduled time. NCDHD is not including other area hospitals/clinics in our Press Release. If interested in getting a COVID-19 vaccine or booster dose at your local hospital/clinic, please call your local hospital/clinic for their vaccine schedule and availability.

NCDHD will be offering COVID, flu, Tdap, Pneumonia, and Shingles vaccines.

Case count update as of 1/3/2021 at 3:00 PM: 7,491 Total Cases (TC), 6,830 Recoveries (R) and 93 Deaths (D). There have been 260 Total Cases (TC) reported in the last 14 days.

Case count update for the last 7 days: 159 Cases (C), 172 Recoveries (R), and 0 Deaths (D).
