The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
December 12 – 18, 2021
On 12/12/2021 at 1:13 pm, an officer responded to the 900 block of west highway 20 for a non-injury accident with property damage. A juvenile male was cited.
On 12/13/2021 at 7:40 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 3rd and Cherry Streets. A 37 year old Valentine man was cited.
On 12/15/2021 at 2:20 pm, an officer responded to the 700 block of east highway 20 for a report of theft. A female suspect has been identified. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
Officers responded to 115 calls for service this week.
Also, noted on the VPD’s Facebook Page: During the overnight hours of December 18th/19th, a fire hydrant was struck and damaged on the corner of 5th and Government Streets. The vehicle may have front end damage, is believed to have extensive undercarriage damage and lost a substantial amount of oil.
