In September, 2021, Cherry County Hospital and Clinic was made aware of a federal vaccine mandate for all healthcare workers. While CCH supports any and all who would like to receive the vaccine, CCH has been opposed to a federal mandate and has worked closely with the governing bodies and national healthcare organization in this opposition. On November 29th, CCH was contacted by the Nebraska Attorney General’s office regarding the temporary injunction granted by Judge Schelp. CCH supports this decision and believes it is believed to be in the best interest of our patients, our community and our team members.
While we anticipate an appeal process to occur, CCH will work with the AG’s office and our Governor in support of a permanent dismissal of the mandate.
