The Valentine Volunteer Fire Department and Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service were paged out to the report of a house fire at 610 North Valentine Street in Valentine at about 2:15 a.m. Monday morning. Upon arrival, fire crews found the structure was “fully involved” in flames. Fire crews were on scene for about 2 hours before returning to the fire hall. The unoccupied house, owned by Gary Gallino, was a total loss. According to Fire Chief Terry Engles, the fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshall, but at this time it is believed that it was electrical in nature.
