Shop Small Saturday and Valentine’s own Christmas Parade of Lights is right around the corner. The parade will once again be held on Saturday, November 27th at 6:00 pm. Lineup will be at the south entrance of Cherry County Fairgrounds with the parade proceeding north on Green Street to the high school parking lot and returning on the same route. There will be two categories for entries: individual and float, paying 1st and 2nd place in each. Prizes will be $100 and $50 in the form of Chamber Bucks After parade activities to be held immediately following the parade at the 4H building.
There will be Santa and Sweetie Elf, the Viewer’s Choice Christmas tree contest, and Best Christmas Sweater contest sponsored by Dave Major State Farm. There will also be a food bar, and Leonard’s famous s’mores bar for starters. “Deck the Hall” Christmas tree contest is open to anyone: individual, families, businesses, organizations, and churches. 3 Winning places: $75, $50, $25. Be sure to wear your Best Christmas sweater so you may enter its own contest. No entry forms needed. You must be present and walk across the Christmas stage for judging to win.
