​The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:

October 10 – 16, 2021

On 10/11/2021 at 12:27 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 4th and Main Streets. A juvenile male was cited for suspicion of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

On 10/12/2021 at 3:31 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 2nd and Cherry Streets. A 41 year old Valentine man was arrested for driving under suspension.

On 10/12/2021 at 7:20 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 2nd and Ray Streets. A 26 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

On 10/13/2021 an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Wood and 4th Streets. A 23 year old South Dakota man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

On 10/14/2021 at 12:13 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the 200 block of west 3rd Street. A 29 year old woman was arrested on suspicion of operating her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

On 10/14/2021 at 2:54 am, an officer was requested to respond to the 200 block of west 4th Street in regards to property damage. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.

Officers responded to 94 calls for service this week.

Additional information:

During the early morning hours of 10/17/2021, an unknown person(s) stole 2 vehicles, a firearm and caused significant property damage throughout town. A person of interest has been posted on the Valentine Police Department’s FACEBOOK page.
