August 15 – 21, 2021
On 08/16/2021 at 1:36 pm, an officer fielded a report of an assault on a child. The investigation is ongoing.
On 08/20/2021 at 9:21 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersections of highway 20 and Vivian Street. A 38 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating his motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
On 08/20/2021 at 10:23 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersections of 4th and Cherry Street. A juvenile female from South Dakota was arrested on suspicion of operating her vehicle while under the influence of drugs. 4 other juvenile passengers were cited for alcohol and drug violations.
On 08/21/2021 at 12:30 am, an officer made contact with a vehicle in the 100 block of west 4th street. A 59 year old South Dakota female was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana less than one ounce.
On 08/21/2021 at 1:57 am, officers responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of north Edna Street. A 44 year old Valentine man was arrested.
On 08/21/2021 at 9:59 am, an officer responded to the 300 block of north Victoria Street for a report of property damage. A suspect has been identified and all information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
Officers responded to 137 calls for service this week.
