The Sparks Nebraska Spurs chapter of the Cowboy Fast Draw Association held a Town Folk Alley event at the Keya Paha County Fair in Norden on Saturday and Sunday. The event gives the public a chance to try their hand at fast draw competition against each other. Dozens of people participated and the Sparks Spurs coached and supplied equipment to the contestants. The club kept track of fastest time in 4 catagories and had small prizes for the fastents times of the day.

Fastest Mens time was D.D. Linse of Springview with a .604. Ladies fastest ladies time was Phoebe McDaniel of Ainsworth with a 1.013. Youth boys category was won by Ian Finley of Ainsworth with a point 723. The youth girls event was won by Amora Carpenter of Springview with a point 778.

The Cowboy Fast Draw Club plans to be at Johnstown during the Brown County Fair.

The club will host the Nebraska State and Great Plains Territorial Championships September 17th through the 19th at the Cherry County fairgrounds. This will be the 10th anniversary of the club hosting the Nebraska State Championship. The public is welcome to come watch some of the fastest guns in the country.
