The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
August 8 – 14, 2021
On 08/08/2021 at 7:59 pm, officers responded to the 100 block of east highway 20 in regards to a shoplifting. A 23 year old Valentine man was arrested.
On 08/08/2021 at 11:32 pm, officers responded to the 500 block of west 3rd street for a disturbance. A 50 year old South Dakota man was arrested for an active Cherry County Warrant. A 60 year old Valentine man was arrested for possession of stolen property.
On 08/09/2021 at 5:35 pm, officers responded to the 100 block of east highway 20 in regards to a shoplifting. The female suspect fled prior to officer arrival. The investigation is ongoing.
On 08/12/2021 at 7:12 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersections of B and Sally Street. A 61 year old Valentine man was arrested for driving while suspended.
On 08/13/2021 at 1:24 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 3rd and Main Streets. A 19 year old Valentine female was arrested on suspicion of operating her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
On 08/13/2021 at 1:33 am, an officer made contact with a vehicle near the intersection of 3rd and Main Streets. A 33 year old Valentine male was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Officers responded to 106 calls for service this week.
