The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
On 07/25/2021 at 9:40 pm, a 50 year old South Dakota man was observed shoplifting. The incident information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 07/30/2021 at 1:18 am an officer conducted a traffic stop on the 1000 block of highway 20. A 33 year old North Dakota man was cited for possession of marijuana less than 1oz. All information will be forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 07/30/2021 at 9:13 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop on the 100 block of South Cherry Street. An 18 year old Valentine man was cited for drug paraphernalia. All information will be forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 07/31/2021 at 7:59 am, officers were requested to respond to the 100 block of East Highway 20 for a theft. Citation was issued to a 35 year old Valentine woman for shoplifting. All information will be forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 07/31/2021 at 1:55 pm, officers were requested to respond to Park Lane for an accident. Upon arrival officers found an 18 year old South Dakota man and a 19 year old Nebraska man at the accident site. Further investigation reveals a 20 year old Colorado woman and a 21 year old South Dakota man were also in the vehicle during the accident. All four personnel were arrested. Charges include possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than 1oz, and public indecency. All information will be forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 07/31/2021 at 6:33 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersections of 7th and Main Streets. A 37 year old woman was cited for possession of marijuana less than 1oz and a 40 year old man was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. All information will be forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
