The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
July 18 – 24, 2021
On 07/18/2021 at 4:19 pm, officers were requested to respond to the 700 block of east highway 20 for a theft. A 50 year old South Dakota man was cited for shoplifting.
On 07/18/2021 at 8:20 pm a hit and run accident was reported. A 33 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident.
On 07/19/2021 at 12:33 am, a traffic stop was conducted near highway 20 and Hall Streets. A 53 year old Lincoln man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and possession of a controlled substance.
On 07/21/2021 at 7:46 pm, officers were requested to respond to the 100 block of west B street for a theft. All information will be forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 07/22/2021 at 6:31 pm, officers were requested to respond to the 100 block of east highway 20 for a theft. A 50 year old Valentine man was arrested.
On 07/22/2021 at 9:38 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersections of 5th and Macomb Streets. A 52 year old man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and possession of a controlled substance.
On 07/23/2021 at 1:20 am, officers were called to the 100 block of N. Main Street in regards to an assault. A 28 year old Valentine man was arrested.
On 07/24/2021 at 12:56 am, officers were called to the 100 block of N. Main Street in regards to an assault. A 25 year old Valentine man was arrested.
Officers responded to 115 calls for service this week.
