The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
July 4 – 10, 2021
On 07/04/2021 at 2:05 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 3rd and Government Streets. A 62 year old South Dakota man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
On 07/05/2021 at 1:07 am, officers responded to the 200 block of north Hall Street for an assault. A 19 year old Valentine woman was cited for this incident.
On 07/08/2021 at 10:46 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of highways 97 and 20. A 31 year old South Dakota woman and a 67 year old Valentine man were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and weapon law violations.
On 07/09/2021 at 6:50 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of highway 20 and Wood Street. A 23 year old South Dakota woman and a 43 year old Valentine man were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Officers responded to 122 calls for service this week.
