The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
June 27 – July 3, 2021
On 06/27/2021 at 1:31 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of west highway 20. A 30 year old Valentine man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
On 06/27/2021 at 2:28 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of west 3rd Street. A 23 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
On 06/28/2021 at 12:23 am, an officer was requested to respond to the 100 block of Lodi Street in regards to a stabbing. The suspect had fled the area. Officers were called at 6:25 am for a report of a second stabbing by the same suspect. A warrant has been requested.
On 06/28/2021 at 9:32 am, an officer responded to the 100 block of west highway 20 for an unlawful use of a financial transaction device. A 32 year old Valentine man was cited for the incident.
On 07/02/2021 at 4:34 pm, officers responded to the 100 block of west B street for threats with a deadly weapon. A 34 year old Valentine man was arrested.
On 07/02/2021 at 7:25 pm, an officer responded to the 300 block of north Edna Street in regards to a dog at large. A 38 year old Valentine woman was cited.
On 07/03/2021 at 11:34 pm, officers responded to the 300 block of east B Street for an attempted assault with a motor vehicle. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
