On June 22 the Cherry County 4-H Livestock Committee hosted the annual Livestock Judging Clinic and Competition. Dr. Doug Smith from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis was the clinician. Youth judged six classes – market steers, breeding heifers, market lambs, market goats, dairy goats, and hogs.

The results are as follows: Brooklyn Nollette participated in the Clover Kid division. Alex Barnes was the Junior Champion. Receiving blues in the junior division were Addie Sexson, Gage Sandoz, Greyson Swan and Jaeden Garwood. Receiving reds in the Junior Division were Annalena Nelson and Brayden Stec.

The Intermediate Champion was Christen Larson and Reserve Intermediate Champion was Aubrey Benson. Receiving blues in the Intermediate division were Addy Stec, Jenalee Garwood, and
Mady Bopp. Gus Benson received a red in the Intermediate division.

The Champion Senior was Audrey Brawner. Receiving blues in the senior division were Ariana Blume, Gavin Sandoz, and Rylie Sexson. Receiving reds in the senior division were Robert Ross and Quinton Nelson.
