The Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
February 7-13, 2021
On 02/09/2021 at 3:39 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 2nd and Cherry Streets. Following an investigation, a 71 year old South Dakota man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and possession of marijuana.
On 02/09/2021 at 8:15 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of north Cherry Streets. A 33 year old female and 42 year old male, both from South Dakota, were arrested on active arrest warrants.
On 02/10/2021 at 7:30 pm, an officer was requested to respond to the 800 block of north Moon Street in regards to a protection order violation. Officers were again called on 02/13/2021 for the same violation. The suspect had fled prior to officer arrival. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 02/12/2021 at 1:38 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 3rd and Cherry Streets. Following an investigation a 19 year old male, two 20 year old males and a 21 year old male, all from North Dakota, were arrested on drug offenses.
Officers responded to 105 calls for service this week.
