North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) has been made aware of 21 new COVID-19 cases in the district since last reporting period on 2/8/2021; 0-Antelope, 0-Boyd, 0- Brown, 0-Cherry, 6-Holt, 1-Keya Paha, 11-Knox, 3-Pierce, 0-Rock.

NCDHD has 182 recoveries to report since last reporting period on 2/4/2021; 20-Antelope, 16-Boyd, 10-Brown, 9-Cherry, 24-Holt, 2-Keya Paha, 64-Knox, 30-Pierce, 7-Rock.

NCDHD regrets to inform the district of three additional deaths in the district. A male and a female from Knox County and a Male from Holt County. NCDHD sends their sincerest condolences to the families during this time.

NCDHD’s TestNe COVID-19 testing times and locations starting the week of 2/8/2021 have changed. For a smooth flow of clinic traffic for those attending clinics in O’Neill attendees should enter the clinic through the alley South of the Armory.

  • O’Neill: Monday and Wednesday from 8:30-10:30am at the O’Neill Armory. Please enter the clinic through the alley South of the Armory.
  • Bassett: Mondays 1:00-3:00pm at the Rock County Fairgrounds
  • Pre-registration for testing at www.testnebraska.com is highly encouraged, but not required.
  • The last patient will be scheduled 15 minutes before the scheduled end of the clinic.
  • Valentine: Tuesdays 1:30-3:30 pm at the United Methodist Church north parking lot.

North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) would like to apprise the district of the Nebraska COVID-19 vaccine registry, located at www.ncdhd.ne.gov. Anyone is welcome to register at this time. NCDHD is focusing on 65+ and tier 1 of the 1B community partners. This includes first responders, utilities, homeless shelter, corrections staff, and educators. An update of the district vaccinations administered can be found here below:

  • 7,342 vaccinations administered
  • 5,366 1st dose in series administered
  • 1,976 2nd dose in series administered
  • 5.5% of the population 16 and older completing vaccination

NCDHD would like to reiterate to the district that public health preventative measures have not changed though the state has moved into the DHM “Green” phasing. NCDHD still encourages district residents to continue to wear your mask in public places or where social distancing is difficult as well as practice social distancing while out in public.
