Officers with the Cherry County Sheriff’s Office and Valentine Police Department assisted Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service and the Valentine Volunteer Fire Department with a reported one vehicle accident just before 3 am on Friday morning, February 5, 2021. According to the Sheriff’s office, there was one fatality linked to the accident that occurred on the west side of the Niobrara river bridge on Highway 20 southeast of Valentine.
