Valentine Police Department Week in Review:

December 27, 2020 to January 2, 2021

On 12/27/2020 at 3:05 am, an Officer was called to the 200 block of south Hall Street for a disturbance. A 44 year old Valentine woman was arrested on an outstanding Cherry County warrant.

On 12/27/2020 at 12:41 pm, an Officer was contacted in regards to a missing person. The Officer was able to located the person and coordinated efforts to return them back home.

On 12/28/2020 at 2:33 pm, an investigator with the Omaha Police Department requested assistance regarding an investigation into an alleged sexual assault. All information gathered was forwarded to the Omaha Police Department.

On 12/30/2020 at 1:30 pm, an Officer responded to the 100 block of east highway 20 in regards to a theft valued to exceed $2000. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.

On 01/01/2021 at 1:23 am, an Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of west 3rd Street. Following an investigation, a 40 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating their vehicle while under the influence.

On 01/01/2021 at 3:42 am, an Officer was called to the 300 block of north Victoria Street in regards to an assault. A 31 year old South Dakota man was arrested.

On 01/01/2021 at 5:50 am, Officers were called to the 600 block of north Cherry Street in regards to a man with a weapon. A 20 year old South Dakota man was arrested for disturbing the peace.

On 01/01/2021 at 23:54 pm, an Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of east highway 20. Following an investigation, two 26 year old women from Georgia were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a stolen firearm.

On 01/02/2021 at 7:46 am, an Officer was contacted in reference to a sexual assault. The investigation is ongoing.

On 01/02/2021 at 3:21 pm, an Officer conducted a traffic stop near the 700 block of east highway 20. Following an investigation, a 74 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating their vehicle while under the influence.
