Valentine High School is now in it’s third year of an internship program in the community. Seniors who meet certain criteria are eligible to participate in the internship program with businesses they may be interested in pursuing. The internships could range from 1 to three hours per day depending on the student. Businesses are expected to teach the students all aspects of the business so they get a taste of what it really takes to operate a small business. The interns are not paid for the hours they dedicate during the program. A new internship program will begin after the Christmas break on January 3rd for the second semester. Students will be selecting a new business to work with for the second semester. Any businesses interested in participating in the internship program should contact Jennie Manning, Andy Cronin or Ronell Kilmer at the high school at 402 376 1780. This could be an opportunity for a business to groom a new employee if things work out.
