North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) has been made aware of 14 additional cases in the district. Five cases in Knox County, one case in Holt County, and one case in Cherry County, through case investigation, have been determined to be from close contact with confirmed COVID-19 positive cases. One case in Knox County, one case in Brown County, one case in Rock County, and one case in Cherry County, through case investigation, have been determined to be from community spread. Three cases in Pierce County are currently under investigation.

NCDHD is pleased to report 24 new recoveries across the district:

NCDHD regrets to inform the district of notification of a COVID-19 death in Pierce County. The individual was a man in his 70s. NCDHD staff and administration send their sympathies to the individual’s family during this time.
